The Pittsburgh Zine Fair started in 2011 when participants of the Feminist Zine Symposium at the Carnegie Library collaborated with local indie cartoonists to organize a free community event featuring self published work. The zine fair has grown every year and now includes over 50 vendors as well as workshops, discussions, fundraising for social causes, and readings.
The fair is an accessible event that provides a platform for Do-It-Yourself publishers to showcase our labors of love. The fair is held annually at Union Project, which is wheelchair accessible. Starting in 2014 we also offer child care during the event.
Free and open to the public, the fair features access to vast collections of zines from local organizations, zine vendors, and lots of fun people. Come check us out!
